Sherlock made a little noise while John re-settled himself in his lap. Of course having him there was doing things to him, but he was trying not to think about that, while they were attempting to have a serious conversation.
It seemed like every time he thought he had asked the worst question, another came up. And so it was the case here.
"I.. in my research, I have read that half demons, even male ones, can be impregnated by powerful full demons." He looked down to John's trousers, then back up to himself. "Is this an issue that we have to worry about? I am not one of the Old Ones. I was changed in the early 1600's, here in London. So I am not one of the very powerful vampires." He paused for a moment. He was about to tell John something that very few people knew.
"But.." He said, pausing to gather himself. "I was bitten by one of the Old Ones, one of the Few." There is so little known about them, even less than half demons, I wager. Even I am not sure if that means that my life as a vampire is different than others who weren't bitten by an Old One. We vampires very rarely meet up, and usually when we do, one or both end up dead. We are not very.. social creatures."
