Somewhere deep in his mind, he wanted to ask John to stay, at least until he fell asleep, but he was already so far gone, he couldn't do more than just moan softly, and shut his eyes.
He was asleep in less than a minute after John gently laid him down in bed. He slept, deep and dreamless, a soft smile on his face.
