It had been a tough but amazing three months. It seemed to just fly by. William was growing, but his sleep schedule was still crazy. They were still not getting much sleep, and they were both exhausted all the time. They had kissed and made out a bit, but no sex yet, which was fine for Sherlock. He loved John and he would wait as long as John needed.

He was very surprised when John decided right after William turned three months old to go back to work. But of course he supported John in whatever he did. It was exhausting work to be alone with a 3 month old all day, and he got little done in the way of cold cases, but he wouldn't trade William for anything in the world.

One day, Mycroft summoned him. He tried to tell Mycroft that he couldn't go, but he insisted, saying that it was about William, so reluctantly left his son with Mrs. Hudson and went to meet Mycroft.

It was late when he get back. Mrs. Hudson still had William, so he figured that John was not home. He took his son, thanked the woman, and then went upstairs. He could hear the shower running.

"Let's go say hi to Daddy." He said to William, who just made a noise and flapped his arms.

Sherlock opened the door, and was hit with a wall of steam. He quickly closed the door again to keep the heat in, then he opened the curtain and stuck William's head thru.

"Daaaaaddddyyyyy..." Sherlock said, trying to make it seem like William said it. Of course he was way too young to speak yet, but still.
