The arrival of Sherlock and William was announced with the thud of the door opening, another thud as William put his pack down, and then the thud thud thud of his seven year old feel running down the hallway and opening the door. He skidded to a stop when he saw his Papa look up from his book at him.
William had a huge smile on his face. "Daddy told me you have something to tell me, Papa?" He asked? Sherlock, much slower than his son, arrived a moment later, putting his hand on his son's shoulder.
"I told him that you'd tell him. And to remember that he is going to have to be very gentle with you for a while." Sherlock said, in a strangely matching smile.
