Elizabeth was still nursing when they brought Thomas over. While Elizabeth still had her eyes closed, Thomas' was wide open. He had Sherlock's bright blue eyes, but John's nose, just like his sister. He was fussing and wiggling, but not really fully crying.

Sherlock carefully took him in his arms and held him close. He was still tiny, and he had a healthy set of lungs. He was much more boisterous and loud than his older sister.

"John." he said, softly. "They are.. wonderful."
