The next few days were a bit of a blur. Sherlock didn't see John very often, but he was busy trying to just keep himself alive. He found a big enough rock to.. dispense with the crabs, but he was still eating the fish raw. More often than not, he was throwing up what he was eating, but he hoped that some of it stayed down at least.
He supplemented the fish and crabs with coconut, which took more energy to open than to eat it seemed, but the water inside cooled his parched throat, and the flesh was sweet and tasty.
Sherlock had no idea how long he had been there. He'd hoped that he'd find a way to make a fire, but there was no flint around, and no glass to try to reflect the sun. It would keep him warm at night, when he mostly just shivered and hardly slept.
"I'd love to have a fire John." He said, stopping in surprise at the gesture of affection. They hadn't talked much about that first day, and hadn't done anything physical since then. Sherlock had managed to wash some of the salt off the clothes he arrived in, so he stayed clothed to try to keep down the sunburn.
He was still beet red and being in the sun any amount of time sapped the little amount of energy he had. He wasn't getting enough food or sleep, but there was nothing either of them could do.
