Sherlock didn't understand. Why had John turned away? Had Thanatos brainwashed him? Was John lost to him forever? There was such sadness in John's face when he had turned away, like John wanted to still love him, but couldn't.

He hadn't cheated on John, he had only ever been with Demeter the entire time, and they all knew that she was more like a mother or a big sister to them, he would never think about her in that way.

So what had changed?
