"I'm sure William will want a brother. I just want a healthy child." He kissed John again, deeper this time. He sighed and looked at the door. It was closed, but there was always the chance that William would have to ask them something. They are relegated to sex either when they are both home when he's at school, or late at night when he's asleep.

He leaned back, a little flushed. He needed to stop this before it got too heated.

John let Sherlock go and then smile at him. "Tonight." He promised before going to go get the jumper he wanted to wear.

"I should text my mother and Mycroft."

He was quiet for a moment. "Or perhaps I will do it tomorrow." So they could have today for themselves. Both Martha and Mycroft enjoyed being grandparents and spoiling William.

"Mmmmmf." Sherlock groaned at the thought of what they could do tonight. Being pregnant, they were going to have to be careful about John's stomach, but that really didn't limit them much.

"Tomorrow, my love. Let's have tonight." Sherlock kissed John, then left the room to let John dress. He checked on William, who was working, then he went to the living room, opened up his laptop, and worked on some emails.

John finished dressing and then went out into the kitchen. "What do you two want for dinner?"

He looked at William who was still working on his assignments and then over to Sherlock who was in the living room. He just hoped that a case, for either of them, didn't come in.

William shrugged, then hissed in pain at the movement, it annoyed his rather impressive black eye. "Don't care" He said in a low voice, his head still down in his Maths homework. "Whatever."

"Whatever you want, John." Sherlock said from the living room. He was busy as well, his head stuck in his computer.

John looked at them both and then settled for rolling his eyes. Son and father were quite alike. He went over to the refrigerator and opened it to see what they had.

He got the pancetta, egg and parmesan out to start spaghetti carbonara. Along with a salad.

Sherlock tried to pay attention to the work on his computer, but the smells coming out of the kitchen were too damn tempting.

"John, do you need any help in there?" Sherlock asked, even though he hadn't actually gotten up to help yet.

"You stay away from my pasta Mr. Holmes or I'll smack your hands." John threatened.

Often when he cooked with pancetta and garlic and butter, it drew his mate in. Contrary to popular myth, garlic didn't bother vampires.

Which was good, given John's love for Italian food.

Sherlock couldn't help it, the smell of garlic and butter and pancetta was literally making him drool. He closed the computer lid and wandered into the kitchen. William was pointedly ignoring them, now working on some science homework.

"I really should make sure that it isn't poisoned." Sherlock reached in and stole a bite of the cooked pancetta, heedless off how hot it was He didn't care that it burnt, it tasted so damn good.

John did whack his side with the wooden spoon he was using. "What did I tell you Sherlock? Are you going to teach our son bad manners?"

He shook his head and went to get more pancetta and butter. He put both in the pan and added more garlic. With Sherlock about, he would be lucky if any of it got into their dinner.

"Ow!" He drew his hand back and rubbed it dramatically. William just rolled his eyes at them both and then went back to his homework.

"See?" Sherlock grumped. "He knows that what I am doing isn't wrong, when it comes to you teasing my nose with the sweet smell of pancetta." Okay, so he was being overdramatic and hamming it up, but John so rarely cooked this, and it was one of his favorite meals.

John finished dinner and got it on the table with red wine for Sherlock and himself and a glass of juice for William.

"Put your book away William." He said as he went to fetch Sherlock.

"Alright Mister Holmes, dinner is ready."

William was mostly done with his homework. But any excuse to stop was ok with him. He packed his books away, washed his hands, and was at the table even before Sherlock was.

It was a nice dinner. Still a bit quiet from the hullaballoo earlier, but pleasant, not awkward. They didn't actually talk about that, or surprisingly about John being pregnant either. It was more about the recital coming up and the forecast of storms for tomorrow and just general chit chat.

John was glad it was a normal dinner. He smiled as he listened to Sherlock and William talk. Like father like son. They were nearly identical. And it made him smile.

He sipped his wine between bites of food. A small glass of wine every now and then wouldn't hurt the fetus at this stage.

When dinner was over, Sherlock made William help him clean the table (since John had cooked). Afterwards, it was time for a bath.

As much as William tried to me mature, and he tended to be for his age, he was still 7, and he loved baths. Sherlock and /or John usually took their shirts off (because he tended to splash) and stayed with him while he played, and then at the end washed him and his hair.

Sherlock always loved these times when they did normal family things together. They weren't a Vampire and a Demon and a mixed child, they were just a normal(ish) family.

John was sitting on the couch when Sherlock emerged from reading William his bedtime story. He looked up from his book and smiled. "What story did you read him tonight?"

He closed his book and set it to the side and smiled at his mate. His mate...

The blonde put a hand on his flat belly.

"The Reluctant Dragon." Sherlock said, sitting next to John on the couch. The telly was on, but muted, it was just background viewing.

"He seems to be into dragons and knights and princesses held in castles lately." Sherlock gave him a kiss, then moved the book over to the table to kiss him more thoroughly. He put his hand over John's on his belly.

"I can't believe there is a little life in there again. We're going to have to do the same thing we did with William. You're going to have to take time off work very soon and put you on mostly bed rest. I know you hated it, but your body isn't supposed to be pregnant, and we have to be careful."

John leaned into him and smiled warmly. "I know." He said after a moment, "I want our child to be healthy. Even if it means I'm stuck taking it easy for another eight months." He laughed.

He looked at his mate and grinned. "This means I get to drink from you semi-regularly." They liked the connection, it was different than sex or when Sherlock fed from him.

When William had been nursing, John drank from Sherlock every 2-3 days. Once he was weaned, it became a lot less often . It felt good, but it did weaken him a little to be drained so often.

And yet, Sherlock was still excited at the prospect of being drank from again, even though it was going to be 8 months of pregnancy, and probably a year or more until the baby was weaned, so he would be slightly weakened for almost 2 years, but he didn't mind at all. He would do anything for John and his family. And he wasn't weakened much anyways. He could get away with drinking 1-2 times a week when pregnant, then it would go up when the baby was born.

Sometimes the drinking led to sex, or was sometimes they did it during sex. But most of the time, since William was a baby, it was just the short times when he was sleeping, when there wasn't time enough to do anything else.

"Of course." Sherlock said with a smile. "We want to keep the baby healthy." He chuckled and kissed John deeply.

"I think you should start now." His voice went into a low register. "And I think you promised me something earlier today, didn't you?"

John shifted a bit and into Sherlock's lap. He smiled and cupped his mate's face in his hands. "Have I told you lately how gorgeous you are?"

He leaned in to kiss him and smiled as he pulled back. "I did promise a romp in the sheets."

Sherlock rocked up into the man in his lap, groaning softly.

"If you stay in my lap and keep kissing me like that, I don't think I'll make it to the bedroom, or the sheets." He rumbled. Of course they couldn't do anything out here, there was always the chance that William would wake up.

But John was certainly making it hard (literally in some ways) to move off the couch.

John laughed and then pulled back. "Alright alright." He got off Sherlock's lap and grinned at his mate.

"Come on darling. Let's go to bed." He held out his hand to Sherlock.

John wanted this. Wanted him. He wanted forever with Sherlock and he knew this was it.

Sherlock groaned slightly. They couldn't do anything out there, but that didn't mean that he didn't want to, or that he wanted John off his lap.

He took his mates hand and let John lead him to the bedroom. He closed the door and locked it- better safe than sorry- and then looked at John, who was already lounging on the bed, striking a rather sexy pose.

"We need to get you out of those clothes, first." He insisted. He had no idea what John was in the mood for, to be more dominant or submissive (they switched very often), so he looked for clues in his body language.

"Or do you just want to drink from me like I am, first?" He asked with a smile.

John rose onto his knees and stared at his mate. He took in every part of him and then licked his lips.

What did he want?

He wasn't sure. But he did know that he wanted Sherlock. He always wanted his mate.

"Why don't we get our clothes off and see where the night takes us." He suggested with a wicked grin. He started to unbutton his shirt.

A quick nod, and Sherlock was also working on his clothes. The shirt was unbuttoned quickly, and he pulled the plain white tshirt he had on under it off and over his head.

His shoes and socks went next, and the slowed down after that, making a bit of a show about pulling down his trousers and rubbing the half hard cock in his pants before they went as well.

"Mmm. " He said, as John shed the last of his clothes. "Much prefer you like this." He climbed onto the bed and gave John a long, deep kiss.
